Changes, COVID and Career

Somehow it has been four years since I last wrote in my blog. Address changes, we all lived through the COVID debacle, and I left daycare behind and changed careers last November. I am now in the last few days of my first year with Anne Arundel County Public Schools and I love my job!  I enjoy working with the kids, being a part of our school community and making friends with so many wonderful men and women who all, like me, come to work each day to help educate these young children.

Summer is fast approaching. Dakota is 18 (how did THAT happen) and finishing his Junior year of high school. He is driving now and Monday morning he starts work at his first job. I am beyond proud of the young man he has become. More on him in future posts, you can be sure!

We lost our two big dogs, Raven and Riley in 2020 and late that year we got our newest addition, a shepherd mix named Jaxon. He is crazy and loving and crazy and expressive and crazy and loyal. Lots of pictures will be posted. He is very photogenic and he and our Lacie are the babies in our world now.

Brian and I are approaching 32 years of marriage.  We hit a very rough patch, but as they say, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, and we are very strong in our relationship now  I am forever grateful to the powers that be for getting us to this point

Kris and Brian and the kids are in Disney currently. There is Natalie, who is now newly 12, Rebecca at 9, Katie is 8 and “baby Joey” will be 4 on June 11th.

Keri and Corey are living in Florida with their dog, four cats and two ducks.  Doing well. Dealing with life. And Keri just graduated last month from AACC.  I am a proud momma!

Brian David has been living here for the past six months, but visiting Chelsea and MK and Riley often and they come here to visit. He is hoping to find a job within driving distance before summer’s end. We have enjoyed having him with us.

So here is to writing more, sharing life and love and the day to day. It is something I enjoy doing.
